Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 August 2026

SQIA is a browser-based step sequencer at sqia.serezhaok.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Questions go to serezhaok@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account Your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the name and profile picture on your Google account. We never receive your Google password.
Projects The music you make: note patterns, tempo, key, instrument choices, mute states and project names.
Technical Standard server logs kept by our hosting providers, including IP address, browser type and timestamps.

We do not collect payment details, we do not run advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not record audio from your microphone.

Why we use it

Where the law requires a legal basis (for example the UK and EU GDPR), we rely on performance of a contract — you asked us to store your account and your projects — and on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working.

Who else processes your data

These providers may store data outside your country, including in the United States. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Storage on your device

We keep your sign-in session in your browser's local storage so you aren't asked to log in on every visit. It is not used for tracking. Clearing your browser data signs you out.

How long we keep it

Your account and projects stay until you delete them. Delete a project from its menu on the Projects screen and it is removed from the database. To delete your whole account and everything in it, email serezhaok@gmail.com and we will do it within 30 days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to processing, or to complain to your local data protection authority. Email us and we will help.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and the database enforces row level security: the access key shipped in the browser cannot read or write another account's rows. No system is perfect, so please don't store anything in a project name that you would not want us to see.

Children

SQIA is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced in the app.
