Terms of Use
Last updated: 3 August 2026
These terms cover your use of SQIA, a browser-based step sequencer at sqia.serezhaok.com. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service. Questions go to serezhaok@gmail.com.
The service
SQIA lets you paint note patterns into a grid and play them through generative synth voices. It is an experimental project, offered free of charge, and it changes often: features may be added, altered or removed without notice.
Your account
You need an account to save work. Keep access to your email secure — anyone who can read it can sign in as you, since we use sign-in links rather than passwords. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using yours.
Your music
The patterns you create are yours. We store them so we can show them back to you, and we claim no ownership over them. We may access project data only where it is necessary to operate or repair the service.
The synth engine, sound design, interface and code of SQIA remain ours.
Acceptable use
- Don't try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service or to other people's accounts.
- Don't use project names to store abusive, unlawful or infringing content.
- Don't resell or repackage the service as your own.
We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules or that put the service at risk.
Availability and your data
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". There is no uptime guarantee, and we do not promise that saved projects will be preserved indefinitely. If a project matters to you, keep your own record of it. We may stop offering the service at any time; where practical we will give notice so you can retrieve your work.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost work, or lost profits arising from your use of SQIA. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top will change and material updates will be announced in the app. Continuing to use SQIA after an update means you accept it.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. It forms part of these terms.
